The Team |
"Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results." --Andrew Carnegie

Matthew Eaglin-Daniels
Founder & CEO
Matthew Eaglin-Daniels, 21, is a broadcast journalism senior at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. At a young age, his mother taught him how to care for their lawn. Daniels is outgoing, innovative and passionate about helping individuals and helping them build their community. At a young age, Daniels recognized the cry for help from the youth in the Roseland community on Chicago's South Side because of his mother's non-profit, IMPACT Family Center. IMPACT works to eliminate the cyber divide and satisfy key needs the people of Roseland lack. The center is a "home away from home" for the youth. Many are from neighboring communities on the south side.
Daniels constantly sees youth, ranging from elementary school students to high school, struggling to keep basic day-to-day needs.
The goals for his community have not changed. In the past, the vision for Youth Lawn Services was for Daniels, his friends and anyone else to earn a little cash.
However, now, the vision is to see young men and women develop many skills such as: financial management, effective communication, problem-solving and independence, while they earn some extra cash. He sees the youth -who work for Youth Lawn Services- going to college pursuing things they love and graduating.
